This is a positively vibrant double-sided Smoky citrine specimen talisman. The crystal is a raw specimen, meaning it has not been polished or altered in any way – it is exactly how it was unearthed and it has extra faces. The crystal has a growth mark on one side where it grew together with another crystal, many millions of years ago. The crystal itself is a Laser Wand shape. A Laser is a naturally formed long slender crystal that tapers towards its termination. It has an incredible natural colour, so deep yellow and brown! The rawness of this crystal, as well as the vibrant colour, is what makes it far more valuable than the bulk of citrine available online.

Smoky citrines are hard to come by. Most citrine that you find online nowadays is actually heat-treated – meaning the purple amethyst is actually cooked to give it a yellow colour! This specimen is 100% natural and authentic – it has not undergone any heat treatment. This talisman also features a 1000 pure silver tribal bead that has been hand-cut and chiseled using traditional techniques.

Using Your Talisman

Can I shower with this talisman?

Absolutely! These pieces are designed for surfers, swimmers, and alike. They can be worn in the shower, and/or when swimming – and the colours will not fade. Our talismans have proven their durability in our rainforest home against the elements of sun, water, humidity, and heat.

How do I care for my crystal talisman?

Platypus Dreaming creations are handcrafted using the highest quality waxed strings on earth. They are designed to be long lasting and with the right care, they will maintain their original shape and colour for years to come. These talismans are water resistant and feel very organic when worn against the skin. All stones have different hardness levels so please be gentle and treat them with the right level of care. Each piece is designed with longevity in mind. We only use silver and/or stainless-steel beads which will never rust or loose colour.

How do I cleanse my crystal talisman?

We recommend a gentle rinse under fresh water – preferably rain or river water. Moonlight also works beautifully, as does smoke, i.e. sage, or Palo Santo. You can also use other crystals to energetically clear your talisman, such as an amethyst cluster. Some crystal talismans benefit from being cleaned regularly as they are carriers of energy. Others, such as moldavite, are independent beings and do not need cleansing. Where do you get your stones from?

We have been travelling the world for 15+ years to source exotic and interesting gemstones. Wherever possible, we travel directly to the source, to develop a first-hand relationship with the people who take the stones from the Earth. This ensures we are familiar with the processes involved when extracting the stones from Earth; and that stones are ethically hand-collected with great respect and care.

How long will it take to arrive?

Items generally ship within 1-3 business days and generally take 2-7 business days in transit for domestic, and 8-20 business days for international. Custom creations may take longer.
