This divine larimar crystal talisman has been handcrafted by us here at Platypus Dreaming in the luscious rainforests of Far North Queensland, Australia. This is a ultra-thick designer cabachon (8mm in width!) The larimar is some of the highest quality we have been able to source, and comes from the Dominican Republic – the only place on Earth where larimar is found. Features a 1000 pure silver tribal bead that has been hand-cut and chiseled using traditional methods.

Larimar is a rare gemstone only found in the Dominican Republic and Bahamas, and it is one of the very few gemstones found in the Caribbean. Sea-blue colored larimar with white swirly patterns is very desirable as it resembles the beautiful Caribbean Sea.

Larimar is the embodiment of the tranquil Sea and Sky energies. Its soft, soothing blues and calming turquoise is streaked with white patterns that resemble sunlight dancing beneath Caribbean waters. It brings the ancient wisdom of Atlantis and the healing power of dolphins to harmonize the body and soul.

Using Your Talisman

Can I shower with this talisman?

Absolutely! These pieces are designed for surfers, swimmers, and alike. They can be worn in the shower, and/or when swimming – and the colours will not fade. Our talismans have proven their durability in our rainforest home against the elements of sun, water, humidity, and heat.

How do I care for my crystal talisman?

Platypus Dreaming creations are handcrafted using the highest quality waxed strings on earth. They are designed to be long lasting and with the right care, they will maintain their original shape and colour for years to come. These talismans are water resistant and feel very organic when worn against the skin. All stones have different hardness levels so please be gentle and treat them with the right level of care. Each piece is designed with longevity in mind. We only use silver and/or stainless-steel beads which will never rust or loose colour.

How do I cleanse my crystal talisman?

We recommend a gentle rinse under fresh water – preferably rain or river water. Moonlight also works beautifully, as does smoke, i.e. sage, or Palo Santo. You can also use other crystals to energetically clear your talisman, such as an amethyst cluster. Some crystal talismans benefit from being cleaned regularly as they are carriers of energy. Others, such as moldavite, are independent beings and do not need cleansing. If you have any questions about the metaphysical aspects of the stones, please send us an email at info@platypusdreaming.com.au and we can answer your questions individually.

Where do you get your stones from?

We have been travelling the world for 15+ years to source exotic and interesting gemstones. Wherever possible, we travel directly to the source, to develop a first-hand relationship with the people who take the stones from the Earth. This ensures we are familiar with the processes involved when extracting the stones from Earth; and that stones are ethically hand-collected with great respect and care.

How long will it take to arrive?

Items generally ship within 1-3 business days and generally take 2-7 business days in transit for domestic, and 8-20 business days for international. Custom creations may take longer.
