This rare Australian Thulite crystal talisman has been handcrafted by our 5–7 artisan collective here at Platypus Dreaming, deep in the ancient rainforests of Far North Queensland, Australia.
Thulite — also known as Rosaline — is one of the pinkest natural minerals Mother Earth creates. This stone carries a powerful heart-opening vibration, filled with warmth, compassion, and emotional renewal.

Our Australian Thulite has been ethically sourced from local fossickers. Its vivid colour comes from natural Manganese inclusions, and the richer the pink, the higher the energetic and mineral quality. This piece is exceptionally vibrant, grounding, and unique.

🔮 About Thulite (Rosaline • Zoisite Family)

Thulite is a calcium-aluminium silicate mineral and a member of the Zoisite family.
Originally discovered in Telemark, Norway in 1820, it was named after the legendary island of Thule — the northernmost land in ancient mythology.

Since then, small pockets have been found in the USA, Sweden, Italy, Japan and Australia, making high-grade Australian material extremely rare.

This stone naturally forms in:
• Large massive formations
• Small fibrous or prismatic crystals
• Colour ranges from pastel rose to deep magenta

Using expert lapidary equipment, stones are hand-cut and polished at our studio in Kuranda, Far North Queensland. All stones are hand-cut by artisans in Australia.

Cord Material

Each talisman is hand-woven using the highest quality waxed cords on Earth. These have a soft and organic feel against the skin, and are ideal for those who prefer an alternative to metal.

Adjustable Clasp

Talismans can be adjusted to your desired length with our sturdy slide-knot clasp system. It fits both men and women comfortably.

Using Your Talisman

Can I shower with this talisman?

Absolutely! These pieces are designed for surfers, swimmers, and alike. They can be worn in the shower, and/or when swimming – and the colours will not fade. Our talismans have proven their durability in our rainforest home against the elements of sun, water, humidity, and heat.

How do I care for my crystal talisman?

Platypus Dreaming creations are handcrafted using the highest quality waxed strings on earth. They are designed to be long lasting and with the right care, they will maintain their original shape and colour for years to come. These talismans are water resistant and feel very organic when worn against the skin. All stones have different hardness levels so please be gentle and treat them with the right level of care. Each piece is designed with longevity in mind. We only use silver and/or stainless-steel beads which will never rust or loose colour.

How do I cleanse my crystal talisman?

We recommend a gentle rinse under fresh water – preferably rain or river water. Moonlight also works beautifully, as does smoke, i.e. sage, or Palo Santo. You can also use other crystals to energetically clear your talisman, such as an amethyst cluster. Some crystal talismans benefit from being cleaned regularly as they are carriers of energy. Others, such as moldavite, are independent beings and do not need cleansing. If you have any questions about the metaphysical aspects of the stones, please send us an email at info@platypusdreaming.com.au and we can answer your questions individually.

Where do you get your stones from?

We have been travelling the world for 15+ years to source exotic and interesting gemstones. Wherever possible, we travel directly to the source, to develop a first-hand relationship with the people who take the stones from the Earth. This ensures we are familiar with the processes involved when extracting the stones from Earth; and that stones are ethically hand-collected with great respect and care.

Yes, all creations come with complementary worldwide shipping. If you wish to add express shipping and/or postal insurance, kindly upgrade at checkout.

How long will it take to arrive?

Items generally ship within 1-3 business days and generally take 2-7 business days in transit for domestic, and 8-20 business days for international. Custom creations may take longer. How will my item be packaged?

All Platypus Dreaming creations come in a bespoke jewellery box, along with a handwritten note. They are carefully wrapped in unique materials, to ensure each piece arrives safely at your doorstep.

Items can be returned for exchange or store credit within 14 days from delivery. Items must be returned in the same original condition and packaging, without damage.
